Filming of Deathly Hallows begins in the end of this year!

Posted on 5. 16. 08 by Reggie || 0 comments

With the movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in time of after-productions, the attentions of the technical team are turned for the two parts of the last movie of the saga, Deathly Hallows.

According to The Scotsman, the Scottish Highlands and Islands Film Commission divulged that the filming of the seventh cinematographic adaptation will already begin in the end of this year in the district of Lochaber!

The producer David Heyman, however, affirmed previously in an interview that the production of the two parts, which will be filmed simultaneously, would begin only in February of 2009, so we don’t know if the cast will be involved on the scenes done this year.

The movie will have David Yates responsible again for the direction, and Steve Kloves as scriptwriter. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 reaches the cinemas in November 19th of 2010, and the Part 2 in May of 2011.

Site Downtime

Posted on 4. 30. 08 by Reggie || 0 comments

I'm sure most of you have noticed that I haven't been updating for the past week or so. That was because a virus slithered its away into my hosts and effected the website. It's taken me awhile to get things going and even now, there are still some things I have to do to get the site back up and ready.

The bad news is that I've lost an entire months worth of posts, pictures and updates.  I'm disappointed, but what can you do? The gallery is offine for now, so don't click on it.

For a bit of bright news though, the forums have been incredibly active latey. A couple of old members have returned, we have fourth issue of Witch Weekly out and everything. I'll publish it here on the website later this week.

So overall, bare with me as I get things back running and such. Thanks for the e-mails and such, I appreciate it.

Happy Birthday James Potter!

I'm a day late, but happy birthday to James Potter, Harry's dad. If he were alive today, he would be turning 48. So happy be-lated birthday James!

Rita Skeeter out of Hal-Blood Prince

Posted on 3. 28. 08 by Reggie || 0 comments

A lot of fans loved the adaptation of Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, a role greatly played by British actress Miranda Richardson; something that will probably not be seen in the big screen anymore.

Miranda was not invited for the fifth film Order of the Phoenix, when Skeeter has an exclusive interview with Harry, and according to PR-inside, the actress will also stay out of the sixth production of the franchise, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, when she was supposed to show up at the end of the book.

She says, “Well, if I am in it, they haven’t told me! I don’t know why. I think it is because they like to bring in new characters. I’m not upset about it. I’m just enjoying life and seeing other people’s work.

As the character is not in Deathly Hallows, we might conclude that Miranda will not be in the series again. Let’s wait and see!

Teaser Trailer of HBP on May 9 or 16?

Posted on 3. 28. 08 by Reggie || 0 comments

So far, only two promotional pictures of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film were released by Warner, and fans are getting eager for more concrete news, such as a trailer.

The earlier rumors said that the teaser trailer would be released in the international theaters in the beginning of the film Speed Racer, on May 9. Speculations about this date come from two factors:

  • The filming of the sixth film will be done by the end of April, and following tendencies from previous films, the teaser trailer should be released right after this;
  • Speed Racer is the only film by Warner that will get into the theaters at the day more likely to have the teaser trailer released – based, of course, on the dates of release of “Order of the Phoenix”.

However, the other day TLC was informed by a source supposedly credible that the teaser trailer of the sixth film will be released in the theaters during the exhibitions of the film The Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian.

Prince Caspian – by Walt Disney Pictures – reaches the theaters in United States on May 16.

Even though TLC declares the source is credible, we would like to ask our readers to consider this information as a rumor until an official confirmation is released.

HP actors play in the SET

Posted on 3. 24. 08 by Reggie || 0 comments

The actor Rupert Grint, while appearing last week in the “Play.com Live Expo” in Wembley, England, was quickly interviewed by The Sun about jokes and video games that they play in the set of filming between scenes.

“We play a lot in the set of Harry Poter while we are not called to film. We have a Wii.”

“This event is great, very cool. I’ve been playing Call of Duty with 10 other persons. But I was awful, I only killed two persons. My favorites are games of direction like Need For Speed, doing all the improvements in the cars.”

A photo of the actor can be seen in our gallery, clicking here.

In a new interview with Rupert yesterday, the actor talks about Emma Watson playing table tennis:

“We have a table of table tennis and we always play between the scenes.

Dan has been luck in the last months and we both have been playing very well, but Emma is brilliant. We almost never play against her now because it finishes a little embarrassingly.”
