I've been a fan of Harry Potter ever since the first book came out. As I began to really get into I did a search online for a forums, where I would be able to talk about the books with other HP fans. Upon joining one, I became fasninated by it and decided to start one of my own. So on November 16, 2004 I created the Leaky Cauldron on the proboards server. Things turned out great! With a little promotion, members began to join my boards, we got to know each other and I had a great time. I was always looking for ways to improve the forums and make them better and after about two months at being at proboards, I moved the Leaky Cauldron to invisionfree in January of 2005 and I have been there ever since.
So the forums are doing great, we're having a blast roleplayinig and talking about the books and anything else. My brother had a sucessful website and one day suggested that I create one to hook to the forums. Me? Build a website? I didn't know where to start and had no clue about HTML or any of that jazz. But I'd seen mulitple sites be very sucessful with forums attached to websites and seeing as I was always looking for a great way to promote the forums and such, I said to myself, "Why not?"
I decided to create a website, and in order to connect it to the forums, I decided on the name the-leakycauldron.net. So after getting hosted and such, Roxanne helped me with my layout because the one I created was coded so terribly wrong. Thus my first layout was created the site opened January 19, 2007. I very much hope you enjoy it as my love for Harry Potter is shared with everyone.
